Sakura Tsuki Hotel

Shibui Essence

Nestled along the waterfront, the hotel boasts breathtaking views of the ocean on one side and the majestic mountains on the other. The design concept revolves around a floral and vegetation theme, with cherry blossoms being the central inspiration. To immerse guests in the beauty of nature, real cherry trees are planted in the exterior, while preserved cherry trees and flowers adorn the interior in engaging floral installations.

Upon entering the hotel, guests are greeted by a double height reception space that captivates with its timber slatted volume. This airy space is flooded with natural daylight during the day, creating a harmonious connection between indoors and outdoors. As the evening sets in, the space transforms into a cosy and warm atmosphere, further enhanced by the presence of the Temple Lounge, a lounge bar restaurant.

Taking relaxation to new heights, the Sense Garden spa is located on the second floor. With wellbeing and tranquillity in mind, the spa offers relaxing lounges that overlook the scenic cherry tree garden. Here, guests can unwind and rejuvenate while connecting with nature.

“Our design for the luxury resort boutique hotel truly captures the essence of nature, tranquillity, and elegance. Drawing inspiration from Japanese gardens and tea temples, the architectural interior is crafted to create a sense of calmness and serenity.”

— Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui, co-founder of Bean Buro

Throughout the hotel’s glass curtain wall, a variety of screening techniques create a seamless dialogue between the inside and outside spaces. Timber slats with floral ornamentation and translucent ‘bean-shaped’ geometries on silk screens infuse the interiors with an air of sophistication.

In keeping with the overall design concept, the guest rooms echo meditation spaces, offering a calming and tranquil atmosphere. Minimalistic in design, these rooms feature warm-toned colour schemes, ample natural daylight, and meticulous attention to detail. Each guest room boasts the best views of the surrounding landscape, ensuring that guests can fully appreciate the beauty of the site.

For those seeking unparalleled luxury, the Penthouse Presidential Suites offer an elite high-end atmosphere. These suites feature high ceiling heights and tall windows, providing panoramic views of the surroundings. Guests staying in these suites can indulge in a truly extravagant experience.

Celebrating local artistic talent, the circulation areas feature mural paintings inspired by nature. These vivid depictions further enhance the aesthetic appeal of the hotel, creating a visually captivating experience for guests as they move through the space.

Environmental responsibility is at the heart of Bean Buro’s design philosophy, and this is reflected in the choice of materials and colour palette. Sustainability is prioritized, and the aesthetic is inspired by the delicate beauty of cherry blossoms. Pink-coloured textiles, high-end stones, and patterned ceramic finishes add a touch of elegance to the interiors, while timber remains the predominant material, unifying the design throughout the hotel.

Our design for the luxury resort boutique hotel in the Greater Bay Area presents a harmonious blend of nature-inspired tranquillity, contemporary elegance, and sustainable design principles. With its breathtaking views, thoughtful spatial arrangements, and attention to artistic and natural details, this hotel promises an unforgettable experience for guests seeking relaxation, indulgence, and a deep connection with the serene beauty of the surroundings.
