Bean Buro was tasked with refurbishing a workplace at Jardine House of approx. 5,000sqft (460sqm), to transform the dated office space into an innovative workspace that would reflect the company’s belief for quality, integrity and social responsibility.
Bean Buro responded with a design that integrated art and semiotics. The research involved the reading into the history of Jardine House; it’s historical tea trading activities in the neighbourhood, and the iconic circular windows of Jardine House as a symbol of well being. Circular architectural forms were once used in many oriental tea gardens as a symbol of tranquility and nature.
